ERP implementation specialists, North West England

ERP projects delivered by someone who has actually done them.

Quick answer

Digital Adaption provides ERP implementation, migration and data support for North West manufacturers, with deep experience in Infor LN, Baan, multi-site ERP consolidation, master-data rationalisation, cutover planning and Power BI reporting continuity.

Digital Adaption is an ERP and data consultancy based on the Wirral, working with manufacturers across Merseyside, Cheshire, Greater Manchester and Lancashire.

ERP implementation and migration, without the theatre

Most ERP consultancies will sell you a methodology. We sell you experience.

Digital Adaption has spent 15 years inside ERP transformations, from single-site upgrades to a £4.5m consolidation of four legacy systems onto one Infor LN cloud instance.

We are not a body shop reselling junior consultants. When you work with us, you get the person who has run the migrations, fixed the data, and sat in the go-live war room at 6am on cutover Monday.

What we do

ERP projects succeed when data, reporting and cutover controls are owned properly, not left as implementation afterthoughts.

ERP implementation and migration

Full lifecycle delivery on Infor LN and Baan, plus vendor-neutral support if you are selecting or moving between systems. We own the part that sinks most projects: data migration, loading sequences, referential integrity and cutover planning.

Multi-site ERP consolidation

Grown through acquisition and running three different ERPs? We have consolidated four legacy systems onto a single cloud instance for a 220-user manufacturing group.

ERP data quality and governance

Bad data is the number one reason ERP projects fail to deliver their business case. We cleanse, deduplicate and structure your master data before migration, then put ownership in place so it stays clean afterwards.

Power BI reporting on ERP data

A new ERP breaks every report your business relies on. We rebuild business-critical reporting on the new data model so it works from day one, then go further with stock, logistics, OTIF and SLA dashboards.

Post go-live rescue

Already live and drowning? Reports that do not reconcile, stock figures nobody believes, month-end taking twice as long as promised. This is usually a data problem, not a system problem.

Vendor-neutral project support

We can support selection, requirements, migration design, report catalogues, test planning and cutover governance without pushing a software licence.

Why it matters who you hire

ERP failure statistics are grim for a reason. The software is rarely the problem.

Who owns data quality?

Not the vendor, not IT. We help you establish business ownership of data before a single record is migrated.

What happens to reporting on day one?

We catalogue and rebuild business-critical reports before cutover, not after the complaints start.

What happens six months later?

The system going live is the start, not the finish. We build reporting and data foundations that turn an ERP investment into actual operational improvement.

Who we work with

We work best with owner-managed and mid-sized manufacturers, typically 20 to 250 users, in engineering, fabrication, aerospace and industrial products. Companies big enough to need a proper ERP, small enough that a failed project genuinely hurts.

Based on the Wirral, we cover the whole North West in person: Liverpool, Manchester, Chester, Warrington, Preston and everywhere in between. We also deliver remotely for clients further afield.

About Matty Hatton

Matty Hatton founded Digital Adaption after 15 years working inside ERP transformations for UK manufacturers, with deep specialisation in Infor LN and Baan.

His background covers the full lifecycle of ERP delivery: data migration and loading sequence design, master data rationalisation, cutover planning, and the post go-live reporting work that decides whether a project actually pays back. The flagship project of his career was a three-year, £4.5m consolidation of four legacy ERP systems onto one Infor LN cloud instance for a 220-user manufacturing group, a programme that delivered over £1m in additional revenue and £300k in annual savings.

He has worked across engineering, fabrication, industrial products and aerospace, and pairs ERP delivery experience with a strong data and reporting practice built on Power BI and the Microsoft Power Platform.

He holds an MSc in Digital Transformation and IT Strategy from Manchester Metropolitan University and the Microsoft PL-200 Power Platform Functional Consultant certification. He lives on the Wirral and works with manufacturers across the North West and beyond.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does an ERP implementation cost?

Honestly, it depends on scope, but for a mid-sized manufacturer expect anywhere from £150k for a straightforward single-site implementation to several million for a multi-site consolidation. The bigger question is the cost of getting it wrong, which is usually far higher. We will give you a straight answer on budget in the first conversation.

Do you only work with Infor LN?

Infor LN and Baan are where our deepest expertise sits, but data migration, reporting and governance principles transfer across systems. If you run something else, talk to us anyway. If we are not the right fit, we will tell you.

Can you help if our ERP is already live and underperforming?

Yes, and this is some of our most common work. Most post go-live problems are data and reporting problems wearing a system problem's clothes. They are fixable without ripping anything out.

Do you do ERP selection?

We can support selection with a vendor-neutral view, including telling you if you do not need a new ERP at all. Sometimes the honest answer is that your current system is fine and your data is the problem.

How quickly can you start?

Usually within a few weeks. Initial conversations and a scoping review can happen immediately.

Planning an ERP project?

If you are planning an ERP project, mid-way through one that is wobbling, or live on a system that is not delivering, get in touch. First conversation is free, and you will get a straight answer either way.
